The mechanical pencil has inherited the original design of the KERRY pen by PENTEL, which was designed back in 1971 with the concept of “a mechanical pencil used in the same way as a fountain pen”. You can write with or without the fountain pen-design cap on and when it is not in use, the cap is used to protect the delicate tip. Just like most of the CDT designs, the Sanada-Himo pattern is applied on the central brass section in order to create friction and a sense of firmness when held in the hand.
